Terms of Use
If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), call 911, or go to your nearest emergency room. The contact form and inbox are not monitored continuously and must never be used to report an emergency.
1. Acceptance of these terms
These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the website at mkpsychiatryservices.com, operated by MK Psychiatry Services (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please stop using the site.
These terms cover the website only. Clinical care, once established, is governed by the separate agreements, consents, and notices you receive as a patient.
2. The website is not medical advice
Everything on this site is general information about our practice and the conditions we treat. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and it is not a substitute for consulting a qualified health professional who knows your individual circumstances.
Never disregard professional medical advice, or delay seeking it, because of something you read here. Never start, stop, or change a medication based on information on this website.
3. Emergencies
We do not provide emergency or crisis services, and we do not monitor this website, the contact form, or our email around the clock. In an emergency:
- Call 911 for immediate danger or a medical emergency.
- Call or text 988 to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, 24 hours a day.
- Go to your nearest emergency department.
4. No doctor–patient relationship
Visiting this site, reading it, or submitting the appointment request form does not create a doctor–patient relationship between you and Dr. Meenakshi Parmar or MK Psychiatry Services.
A relationship begins only when we have accepted you as a patient, completed the necessary intake and consent process, and you have attended an initial evaluation. Until that happens, we have no duty to provide care, and we may decline an enquiry for any lawful reason.
5. Telehealth and geography
We provide psychiatric care by secure video to adults aged 18 to 70 who are physically located in the State of Georgia at the time of the appointment. In-person appointments are not currently available.
Medical licensure is state-based. We cannot treat you if you are located outside Georgia during an appointment, even if you normally live in Georgia. If you plan to travel, tell us in advance.
Telehealth has limits. Some conditions require in-person examination or a higher level of care, and we will refer you elsewhere where that is clinically appropriate.
6. Appointment requests
The form on this site is a request, not a booking. Submitting it does not reserve a time and does not guarantee that we will accept you as a patient.
We aim to reply by email within one business day. If you do not hear from us, assume your request was not received and contact us again — do not wait if your need is urgent.
Please do not include clinical details in the form. Give us only what we need to get back in touch. See our Privacy Policy for why.
You are responsible for the accuracy of what you submit, including making sure your email address and phone number are correct.
7. Insurance and fees
Insurance information on this website reflects our understanding at the time of publication and may change. Some contracts are pending rather than active. Coverage depends on your specific plan, and we cannot guarantee that any given plan will cover your care.
Verify your benefits with your insurer before your appointment. Self-pay options are available. Current fees and payment terms are provided during intake.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Submit false, misleading, or impersonating information
- Use the contact form to send spam, advertising, or solicitations
- Attempt to defeat the site's security or anti-abuse measures
- Access any part of the site or server you are not authorised to reach
- Scrape, harvest, or automate access without our written permission
- Upload malicious code, or interfere with the site's operation
- Use the site unlawfully, or to harass anyone
We use automated protections against abuse and may block access that appears automated or malicious.

10. Third-party links
Where we link to another website, we do so for convenience only. We do not control those sites, do not endorse their content, and are not responsible for them. Their terms and privacy policies apply once you leave ours.
11. Availability
We aim to keep the site available but do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may suspend, withdraw, or change any part of it without notice, and we are not liable if it is unavailable at any time.
12. Disclaimer of warranties
The website is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the content is accurate, complete, or current, that the site is free of viruses, or that defects will be corrected. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Nothing in these terms limits our professional obligations to you as a patient once care is established.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MK Psychiatry Services, its clinicians, employees, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of your use of — or inability to use — this website.
This limitation applies to the website. It does not limit liability for professional negligence in the provision of clinical care, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
14. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MK Psychiatry Services and its personnel against claims, losses, and reasonable legal costs arising from your misuse of the website or your breach of these terms.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA, without regard to its conflict of law rules. You agree that the state and federal courts located in Georgia have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these terms or the website.
If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest remain in force.
16. Accessibility
We want this site to be usable by everyone, including people using assistive technology. If you encounter a barrier, email info@mkpsychiatryservices.com and tell us what happened — we will help you get the information another way and work to fix the problem.
17. Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms from time to time. The effective date at the top shows the current version, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
